Skateboarding Day Camps Positively Impact the Youth!
Southside Skatepark in South Houston, Texas, has been hosting skateboarding instructional day camps since 2001, providing an incredible opportunity for skateboarders of all skill levels to learn, progress, and have fun in a supportive environment. This Spring Break, don’t miss out on our upcoming Skateboarding Day Camp, March 17-19, 2025!
Camp Details:
- Dates: March 17, 18, 19, 2025 (Monday - Wednesday)
- Time: 10 AM - 2 PM
- Location: Southside Skatepark, South Houston, Texas
- Ages & Skill Levels: All skill levels welcome, from beginners to advanced skateboarders
- Lunch & Hydration: Lunch is provided, with orders taken at check-in. We also supply water throughout the day to keep skateboarders hydrated.
- Helmet Rental: Available at no charge for all camp attendees.
- Flexible Pickup: Your skateboarder is welcome to stay and continue skating after camp ends at 2 PM, as daily Southside Skatepark admission is included.
Tailored Instruction for Maximum Progress
Our camp is designed to help each skateboarder reach their full potential. We organize small groups based on skill level, ensuring personalized instruction and guidance. Whether your skateboarder is just learning how to push, turn, and balance, or they’re working on ollies and ramp tricks, our experienced instructors are here to help.
For beginners, we focus on fundamental techniques such as stance, pushing, and balance. Intermediate riders work on ollies, drop-ins, and maintaining speed in the bowl. Advanced skateboarders refine their skills with kickflips, ramp tricks, and more advanced maneuvers.
Confidence Building Carefully
Dropping in for the first time can be intimidating, but we’re here to help! Our instructors provide spotting assistance to build confidence carefully. We encourage progression at a comfortable pace, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
